Why NOT to use poisons…
We are often asked about utilizing poison bait as a solution for nuisance wildlife control. You may know these as “rodenticides” or “toxicants.” Even though there are some toxicants approved for use as lethal control, we rarely see the need to use such products due to the fact that they effect many other types of animals, from the neighbor’s nosey dog inspecting a bait station, to the hawk, owl or fox consuming an poisoned rodent. The unintended consequences of the uses of these products weigh heavy in our decision.
We do not want to see other creatures harmed through collateral damage. Additionally, these toxins have long lasting effects in the environment.
We will not use this method.
