Within our residential and commercial areas, wildlife find food sources in abundance. Our trash containers, the pet food we place outside for our domestic pets, bird feeders, even our vegetable gardens and compost piles can all provide food for wildlife.
With little or no pressure on population control, wildlife can overpopulate our residential areas. Overpopulation in wildlife can lead to sickness and unhealthy conditions for both wildlife and humans.
As we build more space for ourselves, we remove natural habitat that wildlife needs to live. When trees, burrows and other natural den sites are destroyed, wildlife is displaced. This displacement can cause some types of wildlife adapt to live within our space including our homes, outbuildings and commercial buildings. When this happens, True North Wildlife Solutions can examine the situation and formulate a solution that reduces the chance of harm to the animal or to the property.
We specialize in exclusion, which is providing services to keep the animals from returning or having access to an area. In many cases, exclusion can resolve the conflict you are having with the animal. However, in some cases the solution may have to include euthanasia of the offending animal if it poses a threat to the property owner, or other people at the site. Per ORC (Ohio Revised Code), many animals cannot be relocated. All of our options are in accordance with the wildlife laws of the State of Ohio and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
